Two things that are hard to come by these days for the average Michigan dog owner:
- Friendly, welcoming places to take your dog for socialization and training, especially during the winter.
- Affordable yet quality dog chow and supplies.
I find both at Wags to Wiskers on Main Street in Chelsea (you can also find them in Dexter and Ann Arbor). The first is doled out in the form of a doting, absurdly friendly staff that loves my dog and will do anything for a hug from her. The second comes via an unofficial “Peaches discount” for bringing her in when I shop.
I enjoy the simple pleasures in life: a jammy glass of wine, a cold beer, chips’n’salsa, a walk in the woods, a new book, and the smile on my dog’s face when she gets to hug everybody she meets.
Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre may have gone to Disneyland, but the Most Valuable Peach will always go to Wags to Wiskers.
